Grant & Public Capital Advisory

I have worked repeatedly with a wide range of Canadian organizations to identify, structure, and deploy public funding sourced from government, academic, and industry partners. This work spans sectors, stages, and mandates.

Most organizations significantly underutilize this lever, often leaving substantial value unclaimed each year. In some cases, lack of program awareness is the issue. More often, the constraint is the missing connection and coherence between clarity of intent, readiness to execute, the ability to translate policy objectives into initiatives, and the measurable impact reporting.

I believe that when an organization has the capacity to create meaningful positive economic or social impact, it has a responsibility to operate at its full potential. Canada’s public programs exist to support that ambition. Used well, they strengthen companies, workers, communities, and national competitiveness at the same time.

Eligible uses of public funding are broad and practical. They commonly include applied R&D, technology pilots, leadership and workforce development, skilled hiring, advanced manufacturing equipment, facility and infrastructure upgrades, export expansion, sector-led initiatives, global certifications, and similar transformation-oriented investments.

Engagement Formats

  1. Strategic Consultation. A focused, one-time advisory session for owners, investors, and senior leaders seeking clarity. These conversations concentrate on policy interpretation, program prioritization, execution readiness, and decision framing to inform resourcing, sequencing, and strategic direction.

    • Book one-time sessions using the calendar below or via this link.

  2. Retained Advisory. Longer-term engagements that embed public-capital strategy into the organization’s operating rhythm and builds internal capability. This format is suited to organizations pursuing material outcomes across grants, incentives, institutional partnerships, procurement, and other public-sector interfaces, often at a multi-million-dollar scale.
