Joshua Tiong is an advisor, investor, and educator who's driven to help people and their companies succeed. Joshua has worked extensively with SMBs and large enterprises across the public, private, and non-profit sectors to deliver business and digital transformation programs as well as navigate the journey of growth. He has worn many different hats in this work, but his focus is always to bring people, process, and technology together to create effective systems working towards a common objective.

As a BDC Advisory Services Client Partner, Joshua works with BC’s high potential growth companies to develop and execute their strategic plans. He is relied upon by a diverse set of corporations and family businesses within industries including technology, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, skilled trades, professional services, consumer products, transportation, food & beverage, and natural resources.

Joshua is a passionate educator and currently teaches with SFU Beedie School of Business in the areas of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Business Management. He previously served taught, mentored, and advised through Futurpreneur, Techstars, e@UBC, Launch Academy, JDC West, Junior Achievement, among others.

In his community service, Joshua primarily engages in supporting youth and economic empowerment programming at local and national levels. He proudly serves as President for the Kiwanis Club of Vancouver as well as on foundation and charity committees that grant educational scholarships, awards, and bursaries for deserving learners.
